Party Time Swizzle Stixs
It sometimes can be an effort to get the kids to drink their water or juice. Establishing a healthy routine for our family should be the first set of goals for 2017. Finding time to make it happen should be essential.
Today we would like to share a fun activity to get the kids motivated about food and drinks, while having some fun. We have some great kitchen time ideas that the kids will enjoy.
First up we are make drinking water and beverages fun with dazzling swizzle sticks. Whether its for a paper, plastic or glass cup, these decorations are sure to add some sparkle to it.
Supplies:
- Hygloss Metallic Foil Paper
- Paper Straws
- Scissors
- Craft Glue
Step One
Cut thin strips of foil paper, then cut each strip 2 inches to 2.5 inches in length. Each swizzle stix requires 15 cut strips.
Step Two
Star gluing each strip to the top of a paper straw using craft glue. We used kids choice glue.
Step Three
After all the strips are glued, wrap another strip around the ends for a finished look.
That’s it, done! This project can be done in under 5 minutes. If doing this with the kids, allow more time. Mix up your color palette or use the kids favorite colors. At Hygloss we offer an array of colors and textures with our foil papers to fit any theme.
